There is no official USP limit for isopilocarpine or pilocarpic acid in pilocarpine hydrochloride ophthalmic solutions. WebPilokarpin terutama menyebabkan rangsangan terhadap kelenjar keringat, kelenjar air mata dan kelenjar ludah. Produksi keringat mencapai tiga liter. Efek terhadap kelenjar keringat ini terjadi karena perangsangan langsung (efek muskarinik) dan sebagian karena perangsangan ganglion (efek nikotinik).
