The gas simmer controller and potentiometer's that support the extra-low simmer feature on the 2 left burners are apparently common culprits. I had to use a Volt meter to zero in on the bad solenoid. My gas simmer burner runs at about 5000 BTU/hour output on max. Cut it back to maybe halfway (2500) for an extended simmer, simmer for 12 hours, and... Pretty cheap either way.
